Revel to Heal

We have all been cut by something.

We all have a scar that tells a story.

Sometimes that story marks our lives so intently, so we cover it up.

We hide.

We hide behind fake smiles and lives that appear to be painted inside the lines.

But if someone just peeked behind the curtain they would see the colors that have spilled outside of the lines and the fractured pieces we have stored away.

Our wounds are not our shame, nor should they remain under facades.
We cannot heal until we reveal.

Reveal the stains and the pieces we’d rather leave behind the curtain. There is something profoundly beautiful about exposing your weakest parts, it is in this reveal that displays the most incredible strength, this is real courage.

It is raw and at times absolutely terrifying and will cause your nerves to spike, but it is necessary for you and for the person next to you.

The world needs your honesty. Your vulnerability might just be the gateway that sets someone else free from the prison of their own shame. There is healing in your words— when you tell the story that is hard to speak about.
